Customer Care: Aviation Jackets

1. Storage:

  • Hang on a wide wooden or padded hanger to preserve shape.

  • Keep in a cool, dry place — away from direct sunlight or humidity.

  • Store in a breathable garment bag (never plastic).

2. Cleaning:

  • Wipe surface with a dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth.

  • For buildup or minor dirt, use saddle soap sparingly and wipe off with a clean damp cloth.

  • Avoid soaking patches — clean around them gently.

3. Conditioning (Every 3–6 Months):

  • Use a neutral, non-darkening leather conditioner like Bick 4 or Chamberlain’s Leather Milk.

  • Apply with soft cloth in circular motion, focusing on high-stress areas (elbows, shoulders).

Avoid conditioner on embroidered or woven patches — use precision.

4. Patches & Stitch Areas:

  • Avoid excess moisture near stitching to prevent weakening threads.

  • If patches start to lift, take to a professional for reinforcement — don’t DIY glue.

5. Rain & Weather:

  • If wet, air dry naturally on hanger (never heat or blow dry).

  • Once dry, recondition to maintain suppleness.

6. Long-Term Preservation:

  • Rotate wear if it’s part of a collection.

  • Avoid backpacks rubbing on shoulders — it can wear the grain unevenly.
